Foucault Pendulum in Hunt Consolidated Headquarters

Hunt Consolidated Headquarters set a new standard in corporate facilities and has become an iconic component of Dallas’ architectural fabric. TBG developed an extraordinary plan for the facility that articulates the relationship between architecture and landscape, built and organic, interior and exterior. The design is emphasized by coordinated interior and exterior fountains and a seamless integration between the outdoor environs and interior spaces. The choreographed elliptical fountain wrapping the building’s front facade seemingly permeates the tower’s downstairs lobby, while an eighth-floor rooftop garden affords an inimitable space with stunning vistas and an array of native and adaptive plants. Drought-tolerant plants were used exclusively and are watered by a highly efficient drip irrigation system. There were several artists involved in multiple commissions for the Hunt Headquarters project, including a Foucault pendulum in the lobby.
