Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center
Located in the Arts District of Downtown Dallas, the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center is ranked as the world’s greatest orchestra hall. Designed jointly by renowned architect I.M. Pei and acoustician Russell Johnson’s Artec Consultants, Inc., the symphony center is named for Morton H. Meyerson, an arts patron and business partner of Ross Perot, who provided $10 million for its construction. The permanent home of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Dallas Symphony Chorus, the Meyerson Symphony Center is owned and managed by the Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs and is the primary performing venue of the Dallas Wind Symphony and several other Dallas-based music organizations.
